On the Top 10 Facebook Games in August article of my brother in his blog,  I play six out of ten of them.  Among the six, I regularly play two, which is the first and the last among the list.  I’ve already reviewed the top game which is Mafia Wars on this article, while I’m going to review the tenth one today.

Sorority Life is a game for the ladies.  You get to dress up your characters on items which you can buy or won from the jobs.  I like it better than Sorority Sisters.  At first, it was a little bit difficult to understand but if you read through their forum you will find wonderful insights to get you feet rolling in the game.  In any War games, you need to build up your friends who will be part of your house.

In Sorority Life, a player is not restricted to having one character only.  You can have as much as 11 characters but can only play one at a time.  You can’t switch characters as often as you like and have to play that character for at least an hour.  If you switch to another character, the other characters won’t regenerate.  Also, you share the same number of brownie points, house members and stats.  This is a nice feature if you want to achieve some badges that you weren’t able to achieve like the hitting 20 levels in a day badge.

Understanding the Game:

• Skill Point is what you gain each level or by completing certain tasks to upgrade your character.  You only gain 3 skill points for each level.
• Boarder is a house member.
• Charm is your attack points.  How well you can attack another sister in a fight.
• Popularity is how well you defend yourself from people fighting you.
• Confidence is your life meter.  One skill point is equal to 10 increase in your confidence level.
• Energy is used for socializing.
• Brownie Point – this is the equivalent of godfather points in Mafia Wars.  They can be earned by levelling, achieving the badges, completing the “socialize” levels.  Brownie points can be used to buy boarders, refill, special items, as socialize requirement or trying your luck in the casino.
• Socialize – this is where you use your energy to do the jobs.  Some requires items, # of sisters or even brownie points.
• Job – this is different from “jobs” in Mafia Wars.  Job here is basically similar to properties/business where you earn/lose money every hour.    The job they have are actual positions that people go through life.  You earn a brownie point for your first job, changing your job to become a reporter, publicist and US. senator.
• Fight – similar to Mafia Wars fight where you battle it out with another sorority sister.  The bigger your house, the less likely they will fight you and lose your money.
• Bank  – where you put your hard earned money.  Minimum deposit/withdrawal is 1000.  You get a brownie point when you open an account for the first time.  You will be fined 10% of the deposit amount for the succeeding deposits.
• Glam – this is where you can buy items to accessorize your character or use for socializing.  There are three categories: Accessories, Clothes & Rides.  It’s best to have an accessory, clothing and ride for each member of your house before you fight with other sisters.
• Spa – similar to healer in other wars but you only gain a certain confidence and will not totally heal you.  Every time you level the amount increase by $200.
• My Stats – this is your profile page where you’ll see messages from fellow house members, items you own, badges you’ve earned, fights won, jobs completed and votes earned.
• My House – this is your recruitment page and you’ll see the members of your house.
• My Self – this is where you increase your skills and switch to your other characters.

I hope that will help you to start it with.  In any case, if you don’t like your character, you still have the option to create another one to suit your needs.  Most players are women and an occasional guy.  Hope you enjoy the game like I do.
