Movie Review: Seducing Mr. Perfect

seducing-mr-perfect-200504 As I got bored waiting for my energy to go up on Mafia Wars, I thought of watching something to pass time.  Since I’m a fan of sappy movies (hahaha!) and still hang up with shopping in Seoul, what’s more perfect than watching a Korean movie.

Seducing Mr. Perfect is a movie released in December 2006 which is alternatively known as Seducing Mr. Robin.  It stars Uhm-Jung Hwa as Min Joon and Daniel Henney as Robin Heiden.  The story is about Min Joon who had three relationships ended with her being dumped by her boyfriend.  On her return after her “holiday”, she bumped her car on to Mr. Perfect.  She didn’t know that Mr. Perfect is actually her new boss Mr. Robin Heiden.

Robin is an ivy league graduate, young, powerful and ambitious.  He can fluently speak several languages including Korean and English.  When Min Joon collided her car with Robin, she pretended not knowing how to speak English and Robin pretended not knowing how to speak Korean.  It was funny when she was introduced to her new boss and finding out that he can understand everything.

As his assistant, she was able to get to know her boss quite well.  As Mr. Perfect, he taught her the rules of the game of love.  She was quite a good student but she didn’t like what she became.  She still thinks that love shouldn’t be a game.  I actually saw myself in Min-Joon and even though I know I should change myself, I can’t seem to  do so.

Mr. Perfect on the other hand can’t seem to follow the rules of his own game as he falls in love with the cute Min-Joon.  In the end, they got together but just like most of the Korean movies I’ve watched, the ending sucks!

Verdict:  4 out of 5 stars.  I hate the ending but Daniel is cute!!
